Hailing from an ilk of artisans + craftspeople, Ireen has been a doer, maker, learner, and builder her whole life, dabbling as an artist / designer / illustrator / calligrapher, an operations extraordinaire, an attorney, a sneaker expert, a gallerina, and even a state trooper, too. It’s the intersection of these distinct paths that the idea for Painterly was born. Coming to life within the walls of Ireen’s first gallery in Laguna Beach, Painterly quickly emerged as a way to help artists, the art-curious, and the art world at large in more impactful ways than ever imagined. At Painterly, Ireen wears all hats, including a sometimes art instructor (which—by the way—is her favorite “hat” these days!).
ROBIN BURGIN

ART + BUSINESS DIRECTOR
Painting from a place of pure emotion, abstract expressionist Robin Burgin aims to learn from each stroke on the canvas. For Burgin, painting is her visual vocabulary, where diction is articulated through a rhythm and fluidity of vibrant bold markings representing her lived human experience and the evolution of felt sense. Burgin received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cal State Fullerton + her Guided Drawing Practitioner Certification from the Institute for Sensorimotor Art Therapy.
WHY WE LOVE ROBIN | After jettisoning corporate life, Burgin transformed into the Creative Director she always envisioned through her Somatic Experiencing Art Practice, where she supports healing + self-discovery through somatic creative workshops.
YENIFER OCHOA
LOUISVILLE | KENTUCKY
Art has always been a passion of Yenifer—with its rich history and profound impact on the brain and everyday life. With a background in communications and over a decade in advertising, sales, and marketing, Yenifer transitioned from the corporate world to merge her leadership and marketing expertise with her love for art. Now, Yenifer is dedicated to growing the Painterly team with her digital marketing background and passion for creation.
Yenifer's artistic journey has been a blend of formal training and self-teaching; she continues to develop her creative practice, focusing on a love for abstract art through its ability to inspire creativity, evoke deep emotions, and challenge our perception of reality. Like Piet Mondrian, Yenifer finds inspiration not only in trees but also in flowers and all aspects of nature—their beauty and complexity reflect much of what art represents.
Yenifer is motivated by building meaningful connections, supporting artists, and bringing creative experiences to a wider audience in Kentucky and beyond.
